Workshops

Domino & Chain Reaction workshops are mostly every month. In addition to free-building, we also review, plan and do test builds and preparation for the next public topple event.

Time:  Saturdays at 1pm (usually wrapping up by 6pm).

Workshop Location:

Workshop notes:

  • Dominos provided

    • Probably best to not bring bring your own (so our dominoes don’t get mixed up)

  • No admission fee

  • Other chain reaction materials will be provided (Knex, string, tape, scissors, hotwheels track, balls, etc.)

  • Very casual, mostly we just get together and build things

  • There will also be some practice building for the MD Science Center Topple

  • Bring drinks and snacks to share!

    • Not required, of course, but we depend on volunteers to bring drinks and snacks.

    • But everyone must take home their leftovers

  • No talking politics - Let's make this a politics-free zone 🙂

  • We try and do the big topple at 5:15 pm

    • We connect up everyone’s builds and try to topple them all together.

    • Since this is casual, stops and accidental topples are perfectly OK.

BAD WEATHER POLICY:

We will send out an e-mail by 8pm the night before if we cancel for bad weather. Please check!
